How much soil tillage costs
Payment is per hectare worked, not per hour of machine time. The rate depends on:01Type of tillage and depth

Heavy and dried-out soils mean more draught.

What machinery is needed for soil tillage?
It depends on the operation: a Bednar deep loosener against the plough pan, Horsch Joker and Kello-Bilt disc harrows after harvest, Köckerling and MF cultivators before sowing, a Pöttinger plough against perennial weeds.
How is deep loosening different from ploughing?
Loosening breaks up the compacted layer without turning the slice, and residues protect the soil from drying out. Ploughing turns the slice — more effective against weeds, but it dries the soil more.
Can I rent a tractor with a plough?
Yes. The Pöttinger S6.50 plough arrives with our tractor and operator; payment is per ploughed hectare.
How much does tillage cost per hectare?
There is no fixed price — it depends on the type of tillage, depth, area, soil type and distance. Tell us your area and region and we will calculate it.
When is the best time for primary tillage?
After harvesting the previous crop, in autumn. Autumn tillage lets the soil settle over winter and accumulate moisture.
What is the minimum area for an order?
From 400 ha. If you have less, team up with neighbouring farms.
